Contemporary Art Collection in The Sapphire Gallery by XTEN Architecture

The Sapphire Gallery was designed by XTEN design and is found in L.A , California. The homeowners needed a home addition that might accommodate their up to date art assortment which has works of famous artists, like Gregory Crewdson, Uta Barth, Tomoroy Dodge and  Jennifer Steinkamp. Moreover, their
assortment is expanding and therefore the Sapphire Gallery had to produce an acceptable area for each gift and future works. per the architects that the new structure is grafted onto the circulation spine of the present house and lifted off the bottom to produce a minimal footprint. liberating the bottom plane creates a replacement multi-functional hardscape/landscape space for the family that they use as carport, children’s play space, for art parties and video projections. An array of photovoltaic cells on the South facing sloped roof produces a median of 15kWh per day, enough to provide all the energy for the new building with a surplus directed towards the most house.
