Harbor Pavilion-Reformation of a Harbour by Van der Jeugd Architecten

The Harbor Pavilion is part of the renovation of a harbor front by  Van der Jeugd Architecten, located in one of the spurs of the Twente Canal with 247 sqm projrct area, which until now used mainly for industrial purposes.  As such, the project adds space program and the quality of the harbor front, encouraging recreational use of shoreline.  Notable is the  greenhouse construction in reverse: the glass panels are not fixed on the top of the building, but then hang .
Thus, the construction of steel plays an important role in the emergence of the modest building , resulting in a strong appearance .  Also galvanized steel structure refers to the industrial character of the area, creating an appropriate update of the bay.
